Myers Kitchen

Located on the busy corner of Grey’s Avenue and Mayoral Drive in Auckland’s CBD, the Halo Cafe cleverly and dynamically activates a formerly tired and disused strip of urban space.

The cafe space is located within the undercroft of a new stair, which leads to and interfaces with the existing building as an entry to the new Nightclub above. This efficient use of a tight site allows flexibility while providing a sun drenched urban exterior seating area for cafe patrons.

This project in time seeks to activate and invigorate the neighbouring Myers Park, providing pedestrian links, activate edges and openness to the existing and future park space development.
